Today, December 8, 2025, is the deadline to register to volunteer for the BCNWR’s Christmas Bird Count. Because the data feed into a major citizen science project, please be sure that you will be able to honor your commitment to participate on December 15 before you register for this event.

Birders of all experience levels are welcome to participate. You can find the link to register for the BCNWR Christmas Bird Count on Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR.

All registrants will receive specific, detailed instructions as the date for the event draws nearer.
