“Beauty and the Bees: Understanding Pollinators and Designing a Landscape to Support Them,” Wild Basin Speaker Series

Andrea DeLong-Amaya, the Director of Horticulture at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, will give a talk about pollinator gardens. Key points will include why pollination is important, how it works, and what you can do to support a range of pollinators in your landscape. She will identify animals that provide pollination services, which flower types attract various pollinators, plants that provide fodder for caterpillars, and some important design and maintenance tips to optimize your yard for pollinators. Cost to attend is $25/person and reservations must be made here.
