Wade Powell will talk about the fire-dependent ecosystem in the park, including the conditions that led to the historic wildfire of 2011 and its effects on that ecosystem. Participants will learn about the restoration techniques currently being applied and the best management practices to use so that fire remains a healthy part of the landscape.
