This is the first of five yearly meetings conducted by the Highland Lakes chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas. Deedy Wright will share the process she follows to convert landscapes from having non-native and invasive plants to a “Cue of Care” approach. Highlights will include how to: design a native plant garden and landscape, create colorful and drought-tolerant xeriscapes, select the right native plants for the location and time of year, attract wildlife and pollinators, and apply “Cue of Care” concepts to reduce resource consumption. The result will be a healthier, biologically more diverse plant and wildlife ecosystem. Please note that the presentation will take place after a 30-minute business meeting (at approximately 1:30 p.m.).
