This is a two-destination field trip! Part I is a tour of the new Horseshoe Bay Nature Park (HSBNP). Part II is a visit to the pollinator gardens at the Church at Horseshoe Bay. HLBWS members are strongly encouraged to gather between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to form car pools and assure timely arrival at the park. (Email with specifics will be sent to those who have signed up for this event.) Please dress appropriately for the weather, use or have available sunscreen and insect repellant, and bring your own water to drink.
The tour of the 11-acre Nature Park will be led by a member of the HSBNP’s Founding Board of Directors. “The park is an active conservation and restoration site providing nature education as well as an escape for visitors to walk the trails and relax in nature,” according to its website. The pollinator garden tour coincides with the 12 Stations of the Cross in preparation for Easter, for those who celebrate the holiday and wish to engage in the experience.
