“Identifying Fall Warblers with Eric Ripma and Bird Academy,” Cornell Lab of Ornithology (Offered on Sept. 17 OR Sept. 18)

Fall warblers can be very challenging to identify! This online event, which has a $15/person registration fee, will cover the identification of 48 warbler species found in the United States. Be advised that Eric Ripma was slated to conduct this workshop, but due to illness, Dr. Kevin McGowan will serve as the speaker instead. Dr. McGowan will discuss some of the most important field marks and traits to facilitate accurate warbler ID. The webinar will culminate with an examination of “look-alikes” and how experts are able to differentiate them. Registrants will be able to access a recording of the webinar approximately one week after the event. Please note: This event is being offered twice, on September 17, 2024 at 6 p.m., and again on September 18 at 11 a.m. Registrants choose which date/time best fits their schedules.
