  • In Person at Georgetown Public Library, 2nd Floor; Online via Zoom 402 West 8th Street Georgetown, TX, 78626 United States (map)

This meeting will be held in person and streamed online using Zoom.

Guest speakers Rufus Stephens and Jan Wrede will talk about how birds depend upon native plants in natural habitats for food and shelter, including nesting, protection from predators and more. Thus, habitat protection is central to bird conservation stewardship. This presentation will summarize basic principles from the book Land Stewardship for Birds in Central Texas, provide examples of native habitat types in this area, and identify some environmental problems together with tools to address them.
