“Morphology of Texas Hill Country Grasses,” Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (Zoom)

Many of the grasses that are native to central Texas seem to peak in the fall. Minnette Marr is a conservation botanist and native grass expert at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. She will discuss the morphology of our regional native grasses. Participants will learn about the grasses’ distinguishing characteristics and how to participate in a citizen science initiative to help conservationists around the world identify native grasses and their “look-alikes.” Registration costs $25/person and can be completed here. Registrants will receive an email with the link for the Zoom meeting prior to the event.
