Opening Day of Project FeederWatch, 2021-2022, Cornell Lab of Ornithology

For about 35 years, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology has supported Project FeederWatch as a means of empowering citizen scientists across the USA to gather vital data about birds. The project extends all the way into April 2022. For complete details about the history of Project FeederWatch, the requirements to participate [and no, you do not have to have a feeder, just an area with plantings, habitat, water or food that attracts birds], and the importance of the project, please visit the Project FeederWatch website. There is an $18 fee to participate ($15 for Cornell Lab members), and participants receive “Welcome Kits” to help them get started.
