Pollinator Day at Inks Lake State Park

Weather permitting, this event will be held in the Central Park area of Inks Lake State Park (ILSP). It is free to attend (no registration required) with purchase of a day pass for everyone attending. ILSP fills up quickly on weekends; you are advised to purchase day passes online in advance. At 10:00 a.m., Texas Nature Tracker biologist Craig Hensley will talk about the importance of Texas pollinators and demonstrate how to do monarch tagging. Then from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., participants can visit display tables and activity stations. There will be information about bees, bats, hummingbirds and other pollinators.
