TPWD is hosting the 2024 Great Texas Birding Classic, which they refer to as “The biggest, longest, wildest birdwatching tournament in the U.S.” All ages and experience levels are welcome to participate in this event. The range of fees to register for this team event range from $20/team member (youth ages 13 and younger) to $50/team member for teams without corporate sponsors. Teams with sponsors have registration fees that range from $250 per team (youth ages 13 and younger) to $1,000 per team. Folks interested in participating must register their teams by April 1, 2024. Tournament dates range from April 15 - May 15, 2024. There also is a competitive conservation grant component to the Great Texas Birding Classic.
