This full-day, in-person, outdoor workshop will be led by four expert bird watchers. Participants will learn about field identification (markings, behavior, etc.) of the native sparrows normally found in winter in this region of the state. The fee for this workshop is $150/person, and includes a light breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and hot drink. Attendees will be placed in small groups so that each group can visit the different environments at Doeskin Ranch and all will have good opportunities to see and study the birds. For full details, including recommendations about what to wear and bring to the workshop and the link to registration, please visit the Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR website. Please note: space is limited and at the time of this posting, only 4 slots remained available.
