Summer Lunch Series: “Winter Storms and Wildlife” with Cliff Shackelford, Travis Audubon

Cliff Shackleford will discuss the impact of winter storm Uri on birds, based on project data in iNaturalist. Birds are built for cold weather and the discussion will include which species reportedly died due to the extreme weather conditions. The information will be considered in the context of past winter storms and other causes of deaths that lead to declines in Texas birds. Registration is required, here, and although the event is free, participants are encouraged to make a $10 donation when they sign up.
