“The Wonders of Wildflowers,” TxDOT Roadside Chat

Join host Jennifer Carpenter as a panel of TxDOT speakers explains how and why TxDOT plants over 50,000 wildflower seeds each year. Specifically, intentional landscapes and wildflowers benefit everyone – from erosion prevention, to critters, to travelers. [Is it even possible to drive down a highway lined with a rainbow of blooming spring wildflowers and not feel uplifted by the sight?] Sandra Chipley, Travis Jet and Matt Buckingham will present the history of this program, how TxDOT manages the roadside and some of the natural wonders that TxDOT biologists encounter in the field. Registration is required for this FREE WebEx event, here.
