TPWD Wildlife Diversity Webinar: “Conservation genetics and taxonomic distinctiveness of a Texas-endemic wildflower”

Wildflower lovers with a scientific bent, this FREE webinar is for you! Christine Edwards, a conservation geneticist with the Missouri Botanical Garden, will give an overview of conservation genetics and the associated program at the Missouri Botanical Garden. She will summarize a study that focused on 1) understanding patterns of genetic diversity and structure, and 2) the taxonomic distinctiveness of the federally endangered Texas Trailing Phlox. She will talk about how the results can be applied to facilitate conservation efforts for this native plant. Registration is required to access this online event.
