Forecasting Central Texas Weather in a Changing Climate

David Yeomans, chief meteorologist for Austin-based television station KXAN, will present “Forecasting Central Texas Weather in a Changing Climate” to the Highland Lakes Birding and Wildflower Society (HLBWS) on November 3, 2022. The presentation will include scientific evidence of climate trends and the impacts of those trends in Central Texas. David will help participants understand what may be in store for this region in the future. Please note: This meeting will be held in the parish hall at Trinity Episcopal Church, 909 Avenue D, in Marble Falls, TX. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for informal social time, the business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m., and the presentation starts at about 10:30 a.m.

The pre-meeting bird walk will take place at Johnson Park in Marble Falls at 8:00 a.m. The meet-up spot will be on Johnson Street just north of the baseball field (the corner of Johnson Street & Pecan Valley Drive). The bird walk will be approximately an hour long, and then the group will drive to the Trinity Episcopal Church for the monthly meeting.

Parking at the church is limited so attendees may wish to carpool there.
