Native Plant Sale & Speaker on the Square in Burnet, HLNPSOT

As part of the Burnet Farmers and Crafts Market, the Highland Lakes chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas (HLNPSOT) will hold a native plant sale on Saturday, October 28, beginning at 9:00 a.m., at the courthouse square in Burnet. Go early for the best selection!

In addition, HLNPSOT is hosting Dr. Valdez Barillas, an associate professor of biology at Texas A&M-San Antonio, as a speaker at 10:30 a.m. in the large conference room of the Herman Brown Free Library. Dr. Barillas will talk about Natives in the Urban Forest, covering topics such as how a changing climate is showing us the value of native plants and trees in urban areas and identifying the many benefits of planting to create urban forests. The lecture is FREE and open to the public.
